PROJECTS

Our research group is specialized in the application of sophisticated optimization techniques to power systems problems. Among others, we have experience on: the modeling of the operation of generating units; the development of market-clearing procedures; the analysis of equilibria in power markets; the decision making of producers, retailers, and consumers; and the analysis of vulnerability of the transmission network against multiple contingencies. Our research projects are detailed below. These projects have resulted in several publications in journals indexed by JCR, as can be seen in the Publications section.
