Professor Javier Contreras attends the kick-off meeting of the European project INNOTREC

Professor Javier Contreras has attended the kick-off meeting of the European project INNO-TREC, in Porto (Portugal), marking the official start of this European Union–funded initiative. Professors Javier Contreras and Gregorio Muñoz-Delgado are participating in the INNO-TREC project, contributing their expertise to the development of the planned activities.

INNO-TREC will deal with Innovative Transactive Renewable Energy Communities (RECs). It is fully aligned with the EU’s vision for the energy transition as it proposes to develop the next generation of tools, methodologies and platforms that really work for RECs.

UCLM will lead WP4 whose main goal is to develop innovative web-based tools for designing and simulating RECs, enabling efficient configurations of components and community aggregation during setup to maximise economic and technical benefits.
