This Thursday, June 5 at 12:15 PM, we are pleased to welcome Prof. Pierluigi Mancarella, a leading international expert in electrical power systems and Chair Professor at the University of Melbourne, who will deliver the talk:
“Integrated planning of transmission and distribution systems”
The growing penetration of Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) —such as batteries, microgrids, and energy communities— is reshaping power systems worldwide. In this talk, Prof. Mancarella will explore the challenges and opportunities of integrating these resources into joint transmission and distribution planning, using case studies from the Enhanced System Planning (ESP) project in Victoria, Australia.
This lecture is part of the prestigious IEEE Power and Energy Society Distinguished Lecturer Programme.
The event is open to the university community and anyone interested in energy systems, power planning, and the energy transition.
