We are pleased to announce the outstanding participation of the PEARL Research Group in the international conference IEEE PES ISGT Europe 2025, held from October 20 to 23 in Malta.
Nahid Nahid-Ur-Rahman Chowdhury and Ana Simarro presented their research papers:
- “Distributed Optimization Approaches for Coordinated T&D Generation Expansion Planning”, authored by Nahid-Ur-Rahman Chowdhury, Gregorio Muñoz-Delgado, Natalia Alguacil, and Javier Contreras.
- “Assessment of the Impact of Electric Vehicles on an Isolated Electric System: The Case of Gran Canaria”, authored by Ana Simarro and Luis Baringo.
The ISGT Europe conference, organized by the IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES) and the Foundation for Innovation and Research – Malta (FiR.mt), with support from several academic and governmental institutions, is one of the most prestigious international forums in the field of smart grids.
This year’s theme, “Harnessing Innovation: Powering a Sustainable and Resilient Future,” brought together experts from around the world to share their technological advancements toward a more sustainable energy future.
The PEARL Research Group warmly congratulates Nahid, Ana, and their co-authors for their contributions and for representing the University of Castilla-La Mancha in such a high-level international event.
